Our company name was Kawakawa, because we were making kawakawa balm and that kind of makes sense. The things that went well to me was actually getting the products, even though our budget was $20. Also that we got to make our product, but the challenging things was communication and commitment. At the start when we were making our team I would ask something but they wouldn't speak, but once we were in the making of the product. They started to get more comfotable and started speaking, what i could of done better. I could have asked the teacher's if the stove needed a certain type of pot, because we had to do it the hard way with a jug and had to keep changing the water. but other than that everything was all good

So today we had to do a activity where we had to pick a inventor and interview as if we were interviewers.  So I done Bob Kahn the person that invented the Internet the thing some people can't live without. I liked the idea of doing him because nearly everyone in the world now uses his invention, and I got to see what he went through during the creation of it.

So today we had to make a logo so I decided to made one where you can order food, and you can get the food back within 10 minutes. So that's why I called it food racers, and this is my logo that has a burger and fries with the name in front.

What is Resilience?

Summary 

So in the article it explains how you can get through things in tough times. And when something doesn't go as planned you don't have to give up and keep going, and to give everything a try even if you've never done something like that before.

What does resilience mean to me?

To me resilience means to me that when doing something don't say you can't do it and give it a try, and saying you can do it yourself. So that's what resilience means to me, so basically giving things a try and not giving up is what it means.

What skills do you need to show to be resilient?

To set goals and walk towards them and achieve them to build up your confidence and self-esteem

Think of a time when a challenge came along. How would you deal with it differently this time?

If a challenge came up and if I was angry I would take a few deep breaths to calm down.

Wānanga: Māori tikanga value

In our wānanga group we are focusing on the value of Whakawhanaungatanga. The meaning of whakawhanaungatanga is establishing links and making connections, relating to the people that meets by identifying in cultural appropriate ways. Like whakapapa linkages, past heritages, points of engagement or other relationships. So by showing it I will hang out with someone that is new or someone that is all alone, and im sure that if we all do it we can help others. That's what whakawhanaungatanga means and can have way more meanings.

Term 1 P.E

For the past 11 weeks we have been doing a lot of things in P.E such as. Shot put, discuss, sprints, relays, long jump and high jump, we practised all of these for athletics so we could be really good in it so we could go into zones. Sadly no one got in but it's okay at least we tried tho, things i have learnt during these lessons is that I can be actually capable of doing stuff because of my teacher's encouragement. After we finished doing those athletic practises we also done some sports like, touch, volleyball and softball I enjoyed volleyball the most because I like the sport. Sound trap music

For the past 2 weeks we have been working a sound trap song. Before we made the music we had to pick which video to use for the music to go in the background. Our video was of some people playing basketball, the mood of ours was like a dramatic kind of one. The way we made it was with loops and different types of sounds as well for it.  

Pizza Slice

On Wednesday for cooking class yesterday my class made pizza slices in groups. It was actually really good, it tasted like a really cheesy pizza with onions and pineapple, well that's at least what it tasted to me. It was a quite simple pizza to make it, it only required these things.

When we were preparing all the toppings we had to cut it a certain way. So for the Capsicum, Onions, and salami we had to cut it in Julienne strips, then we had to dice it. When cutting the pineapple and tomato we cut it into small squares but before we cut the pineapple we had to take all the juice out, so then the juice doesn't go all through the pizza and be all soggy.  Since there was four in each group we had to cut the base into quarters, so we could all put our own toppings on it, it took about 5 minutes in the oven and it wasn't under done or over cooked it was just right. It was a good session in cooking class so there was nothing bad during the lesson so yeah, can't wait for the next cooking class to see what we're gonna make.

Hurumanu 2 Counting the beat reflection

So for this term of doing Hurumanu 2 counting the beat, we've been practising how to play the recorder. I learnt the first three cords. The first one is B then the one below is a and the 3rd one is g. So that spells bag I don't remember what it means but, I learnt how to play Mary had a little lamb that one was the easiest one i could learn, And I was kinda struggling learning other songs and I was kinda surprised on how good it sounds. One of the things I want to learn about the recorder is to see what types of sounds I can make with the recorder, but one of the things I didn't like was playing fast songs because my fingers weren't fast enough to cover the cords.
