Perimeter, Area, Volume and Weights

Kia Ora

So for the past 5 or 6 weeks we have been working on all four of the things written on the title, oh by the way the Weights we finished doing yesterday. So the first thing we learnt was Perimeter, at first I really struggled to do the work for it because it was hard, but now its easy, here´s an example.
So this one is a mixture of Perimeter and Area. So if you dont know I will explain what it is. SO the perimeter is where you measure the width and length, then adding the number up, then plus them all up you would have the answer. Then the area is where you times all of the numbers together I think.

So the next one is about Volume where you basically get a 3d square, and times it by the top, bottom, sides, the depth and basically everything and thats all.

So the last one is Weights that you probably already know about, I didn't really try that hard because I know that I would get really tired, and couldn't be bothered well thank you for reading my blog byeee.

Volume Maths

Hello Everyone

So i´m gonna talk to you about volume and giving some examples. It´s not your music volume or something its, the maths volume that I´am talking about. Well that´s what im learning right now so I might struggle.

So the volume is something where you use a 3d shape and have to try and figure out the area. To figure it out you have to know the length, depth and width

Fitness Results

For about three of four weeks we have been doing some test which was the, vertical jump, agility run, beep test and the 30m sprints. The results that came out was kinda better than I thought it was going to be. The vertical jump that we done on the very first lesson and im kinda surprise with my results, here it is.

The second one that I think was on the same day we done the 30m sprints to be honest I actually think I done better than I did last year, and this is the final results.
Then the next week we done the agility run with the other class I dont even know the actual results, but one of my friends said that this was it.

Now the one we done last week was the beep test, this one if actually the most best results that I got because I had to push myself to one of the people in the top 8.

My thoughts that was in my head when doing the fitness was like. Oh my god why do I have to be put in this position, but at the same time we do need to keep fit. With my agility run I wasn´t really impressed because I dont even know but yeah.

Maybe the next time I do the test which might be at the end of the term. Im going to work harder and push my self even more, mostly the beep test.

Animal Statistics

So for the past for weeks well more like the end of quarantine, we done something about statistics. So we had to pick a topic then ask people which one they picked, in mine the highest picked one was dog, but Penguin got no picks. So we would have to collect the data and make a graph. Then make it into a graph here's mine.

Interpreting Graphs

Today I got to do an activity for Maths. The teacher gave us a worksheet that we had to do, for the activity it's about temperature money and more. The best part of it for me is probably the Line graphs. But I didn't like doing the first one for some reason by the way here's my work.

Making ends meet

For a few days I have been working on  an activity called Making ends meet. It's about having $200 and spending on breakfast, lunch and dinner and it has to last the whole week. The best thing was getting to go shopping online so when I get older I know how to do it. But I hated adding all the money up here's mine.

Harry Potter Station/Maths

Today for homerooms we had to finish one of our activity´s from last Friday. So it was all just train stations and we had figure out how long it takes to get from one place to another. So an example Herbology to Owerly that would take an hour.

The hardest thing was trying to figure out what the dash means it means it doesn´t stop there.
The easiest part was looking at the timetable and write the answers down.

Crack the code

For the last week in Mrs mcguinnietys math's we have been doing a code the code is about a couple sentences that go with 3 numbers and it will say like wrong place right numbers and that, After that we had to make our own crack the code,But we didn't get time so If we do it next time I will add it into this post.

I found it hard to figure it out
I found it easy to write it down

Number Plate Maths

For Maths we got the chance to do  a Number plate maths. So what you have to do is pick 2 or 3 letters and put it at the front then you have to pick 4 numbers but two of the numbers have to add up to 10 and the other two can add up to any number you want. We got to make a very own when one of the teachers showed us a example. It was pretty fun because you were able to make it hard to see but you can't colour the whole thing in. But the most challenging part was trying to think of the hardest number so they can't figure it out. The easiest part was figuring out the others one because you just have to look for the tens then add it up altogether. We had a competition I had 6 points I had the most but I had to go to road patrol. Here's mine try and figure it out and say your answer in the comments.

The two that I did stands for a Country and MK stands for my initial's.

Can you decide?

Today for Maths in Miss Goslin's class we had to do our Maths Starter Of The Day.Today the maths starter of the day was about making maths decisions. So there is a word that they gave it is PESTO the P stands for 'prime', E is 'Even', S is 'Square', T is 'Triangular' and O stands for 'Odd'. There would be this flashing thing so it would give you and number and you have to decide if its P,S,T or O.But you only have twenty seconds to answer it once its pass 20 seconds it would show you the answer and then another question would come and would keep on going until you leave. So you can play as long as you want. The challenging part was when there is a number I only thought of 1 answer but its more than 1.The easiest thing was getting at least one answer right.

positions,Directions and coordinates

So today for Maths Strand we had to get a grid and draw a 8 by 8 square and put A to H at the top and on the side we had to put 1 to 8.and the 4D was where we had to put the star and put the question mark in 8B we also had to start at the star and work our way down using directions and degrees but we had to try and bot go straight down here's mine.

Little Red Riding Hood

In math's we are learning about coordinates. We learnt that you say the letter first and then the number. Our map was about the story 'Little Red Riding Hood.' We had to do 2 things first we had to follow the instruction's to see where to draw the pictures once we done that we had to color it in.Then we had to find all of the things that was on the top of the map.So we had to find Grandma's house,Little Red riding hood's house.the pond and bluebell's.I found easy trying to find the stuff and what i found hard was trying to draw the things inside the boxes because it was kind of small.
